Cell growth performance: Each lot is tested in a human MSC growth assay and must reach ≥ 80% of the growth of reference control.
Collection & processing: Platelet concentrates are collected in Germany and originally intended for transfusion, therefore comply with German and EU standards for blood components. Before manufacturing release, all donor units are serologically tested. Multiple donor units are pooled to minimize lot-to-lot variability, and the final product is sterile filtered.
Manufacturing grade: Available as research use only (RUO) or GMP-compliant.
Quality control: Each lot is tested for sterility, endotoxin and mycoplasma.
Pack sizes: 50 mL, 100 mL and 500 mL.
Storage & shipping: Stored at −30 °C; shipped on dry ice or in a dry shipper within 24 hours in Central Europe.
Depending on product grade and research requirements, the following data are available:
Origin: Platelet concentrates are collected in Germany and originally intended for transfusion and therefore comply with German and EU regulations for blood products.
Serology: Donor units are tested for Anti-HIV-1/2, HIV-1 NAT, HBsAg, HBV NAT, Anti-HCV, HCV NAT, HAV NAT, Parvovirus B19 NAT and syphilis serology.
Additional testing: Specific markers and further serological parameters can be tested upon request.
